What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 is a 15 amino acid peptide derived from a sequence in human gastric juice, with an unusually large animal literature: a 2025 systematic review found 36 studies across tendon, ligament, muscle, bone, gut, liver, and nerve injury models, 35 of them preclinical. In people, FDA's 2026 evaluation counted five small human studies totaling fewer than 110 subjects, including a Croatian ulcerative colitis trial. It is not FDA approved.
