What is ipamorelin?

Ipamorelin is a synthetic growth hormone secretagogue, a selective agonist at the ghrelin receptor, that prompts a pulse of growth hormone release from the pituitary. It is often described as 'selective' because, compared with older secretagogues in the same family, it produces less of a rise in cortisol and prolactin, based on the mechanism data available. It is not FDA approved and is sold as a research chemical.
