Is sermorelin FDA approved?

It was, under the brand name Geref, for diagnosing and treating growth hormone deficiency, but that approved product has since been discontinued by its manufacturer. Sermorelin is not currently sold as an approved drug in the US; it is available through compounding pharmacies, which operate under different rules than an FDA approved manufacturer, and it is not licensed in the UK, Australia, or Canada.
