Is CagriSema the same as Wegovy?
No. Wegovy is a brand name for semaglutide alone. CagriSema is a fixed combination of cagrilintide plus semaglutide in one weekly injection. Semaglutide alone, as Wegovy 2.4 milligrams, produced 14.9% at 68 weeks in STEP 1. Cagrilintide alone produced 6.0% to 10.8% at 26 weeks in 706 people versus 3.0% on placebo. Together, a Phase 2 trial in 92 adults with type 2 diabetes found 15.6% at 32 weeks versus 5.1% on semaglutide alone. CagriSema remains investigational. Wegovy is an approved weight-management brand. The shared molecule is one half of CagriSema, not the whole product. This site does not rank them. Full record at /compounds/cagrilintide.
