Will semaglutide be banned?
This site's national fields do not show a ban path for the approved products. Semaglutide is FDA approved, prescription only, as Ozempic, Wegovy, and Rybelsus, with equivalent licensed prescription status in the UK, Australia, and Canada. STEP 1 (1,961 adults, minus 14.9% at 68 weeks) and SELECT (17,604 adults, 20% fewer major cardiovascular events) are the human record on that page, not a withdrawal proceeding. A research-chemical vial labeled semaglutide is not those approved pens or tablets, and it is not approved for human use. Compounding and research-chemical enforcement are different tracks from taking an approved medicine off the market. This FAQ does not invent a future ban. Full record at /compounds/semaglutide.
Educational use only. This database summarizes published research and is not medical advice. Where a dose appears it is a record of what a trial or clinic ran, or what people describe doing, with its source attached. Nothing here is a recommendation for personal use.
