What is cagrilintide?

Cagrilintide is an investigational, once weekly amylin receptor agonist, studied combined with semaglutide in a single injection called CagriSema for greater weight loss than either drug alone. Amylin is a separate appetite regulating hormone from GLP-1, so pairing the two targets two different signals at once.
